Yerevan International Boxing Tournament, which brought together 113 boxers from 9 national teams from Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, kicked off on April 6.

Chess: 5 Armenian chess players are participating in International Open Dubai Championship. After 3 rounds, Tigran Kotanjyan in the 2nd while Hrant Melkumyan is the 4th in the standings.

Armenian national chess team are preparing for the Olympiad to take place in Khanty-Mansiysk from September 19 to October 4.
Football: In the second-round matches of the Armenian Soccer Championship Mika were defeated by Pyunik 2:4 while Ulysses scored a 1:0 victory over Gandzasar.
Swimming: David Hambardzumyan’s sports school will host Open Armenian Swimming Championship on April 21-23, with 120 swimmers from around Armenia participating.
“Sportsmen of different age categories will be competing in all swimming disciplines,” Armenian Swimming Federation president Igor Safaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
Upon championship completion, Armenian swimmers will participate in European Championship as well as 2010 World Swimming Championship in Dubai.
