Armenia, Greece to establish dialogue between authorities, public

Armenian Public Council jointly with Economic and Social Council (E.S.C.) of Greece will establish a constructive dialogue between authorities, society and the business sector, heads of the two institutions Vazgen Manukyan and Christos Polyzogopoulos said, following signing of a cooperation agreement.

“We must ensure equal dialogue between authorities and societies,” Mr. Manukyan said, deeming equal dialogue with business sector impossible without building socialist society. In this context he stressed the importance of economic development of the country.

Mr. Polyzogopoulos, in turn, rendered economic development futile if it doesn’t have positive impact on citizens’ life activity. In this context, he noted his readiness to advance laws that would secure balance in society and would foster establishment of relations between authorities and business sector for the past five years.

Manukyan voiced hope for the activity of Armenian Public Council to be consolidated in future parliament with adoption of RA law on Social Council.
