ARFD will allow Armenian citizens abroad to vote if it wins parliamentary race

ARF Dashnaktsutyun is going to amend the legislation in case it gains victory at May 6 parliamentary elections.

Head of ARF Dashnaktsutyun's parliamentary group Vahan Hovhannisyan said they will allow Armenian citizens living abroad to participate in the voting. He emphasized they meant not the traditional Diaspora “90 per cent of whom would vote for Dashnaktsutyun, but citizens of Armenia who temporarily live outside the country”.

By banning the Armenian citizens living in other countries from participation in the elections, the authorities aim to ease their reproduction, Hovhannisyan says, naming this a “tendency to hold Armenian people back from the opportunity to handle their future”.
