Rovio boasts over 10 million Angry Birds Space downloads

Rovio’s latest title in the smash hit Angry Birds franchise - Angry Birds Space - has been downloaded more than 10 million times in less than three days, the company has revealed, The Next Web reports.

The company noted the milestone in a tweet: “10 million Angry Birds Space downloads in less than 3 days! Thanks to our fans, stay tuned for more! #angrybirdsspace.”

Launching across iOS, Android, PC and Mac app stores, the game incorporates new characters and a new physics engine, as the game has been transported to an environment that requires the users to use the gravitational pull of the planets to successfully complete each level.

Rovio has added a new power-up called Space Eagles, which is awarded for progressing throughout the game or can be bought via an in-app purchase. The users will be able play 60 levels on first download, with more coming via game updates.
