Economy Minister: agricultural processing industry promising for Armenia

The Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan deems agricultural processing industry quite promising for the country’s economy.

“Here we apply our comparative advantage. Armenian natural juices and concentrates enjoy popularity in the CIS and European markets,” he said during a visit to Euroterm CJSC (NOYAN brand) in Armenia’s Armavir province on March 28.

In this context, the Minister stressed the need for the government to make efforts aimed at expanding the outlet and boosting production volume, with all “the conditions present for that.”

The Company plans to construct a new fruits and vegetables processing plant, which is set to annually produce 7.5 thous. tons of fruit and vegetable concentrates and to meet European standards due to the high-quality equipment, quality of the products and favorable working conditions.

Euroterm CJSC is considered a leading Armenian enterprise in the field of processing of agricultural products and production of juice and nectar, that are exported to Russia, the U.S., Ukraine, France, Germany, Georgia, UAE and Iran.
