Coalition partners apply black PR against Orinats Yerkir - party member

Orinats Yerkir’s parliamentary group leader refrained from commenting who applies black PR against the party.

Heghine Bisharyan didn’t rule out application of such methods by coalition partners in addition to the opposition forces.

In this context, she noted that Orinats Yerkir stands for solely civilized methods.

Bisharyan further commented on media reports, according to which her party’s election headquarters distributed jam jars, noting it as the initiative of specific headquarters, not the party as a whole.

She stressed the party’s readiness to struggle against voter bribery at oncoming elections. Asked as to whether they plan to struggle against the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), too, Bisharyan dismissed the need to resort to such methods due to the activity RPA pursued.

Armenian parliamentary elections are due on May 6, with eight political parties and one bloc (Armenian National Congress) running for them. Orinats Yerkir’s proportional list is topped by NSC secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan, head of the party’s parliamentary group Heghine Bisharyan and RA Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan.
