Singer, actress, Ukraine’s and world pole dance champion Varda (Vardanush Martirosyan) have not been to Armenia for 22 years.

“I last visited Armenia at age of 5. I have three sisters here, and nephews I have never seen,” she said.

Varda came to Armenia on invitation of Luxury magazine, with Ukrainian singer Vitaly Kozlovsky who recently discovered his Armenian roots.

They are going to present their new “Do not leave me” video, as well as participate in a TV project. The singer said they will come to Armenia again to present a larger program to the Armenian audience. In addition, she now studies the script for a new movie to be produced in Armenia.

When asked about her father’s reaction to her profession, Varda confessed: “He took it very negatively but then he saw I did not change in fact. At first he would not even speak to me.”

Kozlovsky who sang “Bridges” song with [Armenian singer] Emmy in Armenian, said he sees no difficulty in singing in Armenian since he hears melody in each language, and Armenian is very melodic.
