Russian Duma to house “anti-revolutionary” council

A council aimed to analyze threats to Russia’s interests and counteract “colored revolutions” in CIS states will be set up at Russian State Duma’s committee on CIS affairs.

Functions and composition of the new body will be discussed at April 12 committee session, Kommersant paper reports.

Committee chairman Leonid Slutsky confirmed the information saying that an “expert and consultative council” will be established at his committee.

“Expert group to assess challenges and threats will be established. Among others, it will consider issues related to other countries’ impact on CIS states,” first vice-chairman of the committee Dmity Sablin told the paper.
