An elderly participant of a rally organized by the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) in the town of Abovyan asked his fellow activist to show him the ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrossian.

As Aravot paper reports, when the elderly was pointed to the opposition leader as the one who stood there, smoking, the old man exclaimed: “Oh, Levon [Ter-Petrossian] appears to be quite tall!”

When the paper’s reporter inquired whether the old man never saw the opposition leader before, the old activist said: “Well, I saw him a couple of times on TV, back in those times [90s]; but who has seen Levon after that?”
