Armenian theater head to stage King Lear in Bishkek

Artistic head of Yerevan State Theater of the Young Spectator Hakob Ghazanchyan is going to stage W. Shakespeare’s King Lear in Kyrgyzstan’s capital city of Bishkek in August.

The performance will come as a result of cooperation between Armenian, Russian and Kyrgyz sides, Vigen Stepanyan, expected to play the king’s part, told the journalists.

The performance will feature actors of Bishkek’s Russian Theater, with Russia’s Svetlana Bogdanovich undertaking its musical arrangement.
