A German national who claimed she was mass killer Anders Breivik’s lover was deported from Norway, RIA Novosti reported Thursday, April 19, citing TV2 channel.

The woman, a resident of Stuttgart whose name was not disclosed, tried to get into the court building in Oslo where the trial of Breivik started on Monday.

“She wanted to get into the building to see Breivik. She claimed that she is his lover,” an Oslo police officer said.

The woman, who said she had flown in from Germany especially to see Breivik, was detained and deported from Norway.

According to earlier media reports, a certain woman from Germany has been writing letters and sending money to Breivik in jail. It is not known yet whether this is the same person who was deported.

During the third day of his trial Breivik said he had spent the entire 2006 playing the online role-play game, World of Warcraft, for up to 16 hours a day.

The trial against Breivik began Monday with two professional judges, as well as three lay judges - local politicians who are appointed for four-year terms and participate on an equal basis in deciding guilt and sentencing. The key issue to be resolved during the trial, expected to last 10 weeks, is Breivik's mental state.

Many survivors and families of the victims are worried that Breivik may use the trial to promote his extremist ideology. In a statement Breivik published online before the attacks, he wrote that "patriotic resistance fighters" should use trials "as a platform to further our cause."
