ARMENIAN COMMUNITY OF KYRGYZSTAN INCREASES AT EXPENSE OF THOSE LEAVING TURKMENISTAN
Some 3 thousand Armenians live in Kyrgyzstan at present, Armenian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Eduard Khurshudian told Armenpress news agency, noting that recently the local Armenian community increases at the expense of those, who migrate from Turkmenistan. Besides, in his words, some 1.5 thousand Muslim Armenians - Hamshens - reside in Kyrgyzstan. As noted by the Ambassador, they do not participate in the life of the Armenian community, which should give cause to deliberations, as various forces, including the Turkish community, are trying to win over them.
