ARMENIAN PRESIDENT NOT TO PARTICIPATE NATO ISTANBUL SUMMIT
Armenian President Robert Kocharian will not take part in the NATO summit to be held in Istanbul this June, RA President's press secretary Ashot Kocharian reported today. In his words, the decision was made due to "the present condition of the Armenian-Turkish relations". At that the spokesmen noted that the relationship between Armenia and NATO "are progressing" and reminded that R. Kocharian participated in the recent summits of NATO the Council of the European Atlantic Partnership held in Washington and Prague. At the Istanbul summit Armenia will be represented by foreign minister Vardan Oskanian.
