Turkish MP publicly recognizes Armenian Genocide

Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Istanbul deputy slammed Armenian Genocide denial policy at Turkish parliament.

“A major massacre, which in every language of the world is called genocide, occurred in 1915. No amount of money could ever be enough to compensate for this crime against humanity,” Sırrı Sureyya Onder stressed.

The MP further accused political forces trying to use the situation for personal gains and urged for Genocide recognition.

As the MP stressed, Peace and Democracy Party will submit an initiative on announcing April 24 as the day of sharing the pain and grief of the Armenian people, Radikal daily reported.
