Michael Sheen joins Tina Fey’s “Admission” comedy

Michael Sheen is joining the cast of Admission, Focus Features’ comedy starring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Paul Weitz (About a Boy) is directing the project from Karen Croner's script. It's about an unmarried college admissions counselor (Fey) who strikes up a romance with a man (Rudd) she knew when she was in school.

Sheen will play Fey’s stiff British boyfriend. On NBC's 30 Rock, his character - comically named Wesley Snipes -dated Fey's Liz Lemon.

A May start in New York is being eyed.

Sheen most recently appeared in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. This year, he’ll be seen in part two of Twilight franchise as well as Terrence Malick’s latest project, whose all-star cast includes Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Javier Bardem and Rachel Weisz.
