ARMENIAN DELEGATION TO PARTICIPATE IN SPRING SESSION OF NATO PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY IN BRATISLAVA
May 28 the Spring Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly will open in Bratislava, in which the delegation of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia will participate as well. As delegation head, Chairman of the NA Commission for Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Mher Shahgeldian told Armenpress news agency, the report on the South Caucasus will also be presented at the session. The document specifically considers the record of regional conflicts, internal political situation in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, national minority problems, the democracy level, the influence of neighbor countries - Turkey, Iran, Russia - in the region and other issues. In Shahgeldian's words, report contains some points, "which Armenia does not agree with." At that he did not specify which differences the matter concerns, noting the Armenian party will present its own posture on them. It should be noted that Armenia has an associate member status in the NATO PA and does not have a vote.
