In 1/16 final of Vantaa Cup 2012 Olympic qualifying tournament Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Shahinyan beat Ning Duan (China) 6:2.

In 1/8 final he will face off against Vladimir Gegeshidze, while Hovhannes Varderesyan (66 kg) will rival Alan Dzakaiev (Ukraine) in 1/8 final.

Another Armenian representative Norik Khachatryan (60 kg) suffered a 4:6 defeat by Albert Baghumyan Aghazaryan (Spain) to drop out of the tournament.

Freestyle wrester Ruslan Basiev (120kg) and Greco-Roman wrestler Roman Amoyan (55kg) will also perform in the tournament.
