May 5 was the deadline set for nomination of candidates for presidency in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.

Four candidates will run for presidential elections scheduled for July 19.

Current President Bako Sahakyan, MP Vitaly Balasanyan, deputy director of State Agricultural Academy’s Stepanakert branch Arkady Soghomonyan and former head of Karabakh parliament’s general department, currently unemployed Valery Khachatryan nominated themselves for the vote.

All four will run as independent candidates, Karabakh-open.info reports citing NKR’s Central Elections Committee.
