CIS observer says to note no violations in 13 electoral districts

A representative of CIS interparliamentary assembly, observer Vladimir Marushenko gave high assessment of the process of May 6 parliamentary elections in Armenia as well as respective legislation.

“The observer mission visited 13 electoral districts without any violations noted. There were lines at some of polling stations, yet we don’t link them to poor work. To provide transparency at the elections, Armenia took certain steps which guarantee fair elections,” Marushenko said.

The observer characterized the elections in Armenia as a historical event. “I’d like to congratulate Armenia and express hope for positive and productive results,” he said.
