According to Zhoghovurd paper, former Foreign Minister of Armenia, now member of Prosperous Armenia party Vartan Oskanian again stood out against his party by breaking the official silence of Prosperous Armenia after the elections.

Zhoghovurd quotes Oskanian as saying that “he would strongly object to Prosperous Armenia’s establishing a coalition with the ruling Republican Party of Armenia again.”

“I would strongly oppose such coalition. I’ve often stated that if a political force has absolute majority, forming a coalition with it does not settle any issues and does not create a counter-balance in the parliament,” Oskanian said, according to the paper.
