TURKEY COLLECTS SIGNATURES FOR CLOSING ARMENIAN NPP
Governor of the Igdir region of Turkey Nuretdin Aras stated of the necessity of the soonest closing of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP). In his words, "the residents of Igdir are concerned at the possibility of the plant failure or radiation escape". Aras announced that the regional administration began collection of signatures under the claim to close the ANPP for its further submission to the Turkish leadership and MAGATE, Turkish media reports. Aras also called upon the World Organization of Health Protection to "undertake measures for the ANPP closing within the limits of the possible".
