UEFA have suspended Besiktas from European competitions for one year due to the Istanbul club's financial problems, Daily Mail reported.
This means they will miss out on their 2012-13 Europa League entry.
The Turkish giants were handed a suspended sentence in May and issued with a warning from UEFA's disciplinary committee, instructing them that they must get their finances in order or be punished in the future.
Players including Manuel Fernandes and Matteo Ferrari have complained about unpaid wages in the past.
Ferrari left the club in 2011 and filed a lawsuit against them with the Court of Arbitration for Sport over salary due but not paid.
