Three people have been killed and two seriously injured in a college shooting in Alabama, U.S., Sky News reported.

The shooting took place late on Saturday, June 9, in an apartment complex off campus in the city of Auburn, Alabama. Two of the victims are former students and one is a current student.

The search for the gunman is ongoing.

Police stopped residents of the apartment block from entering or leaving the property until the early hours of Sunday morning.
