After tying game vs. Vladimir Kramnik in Mikhail Tal Memorial fourth round, Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian said he must show a better game.
“I wouldn’t say I played better against Kramnik than against Luke McShane. My goal at the tournament is to improve my playing techniques,” chess-news.ru quoted Aronian as saying.
The player confessed that the contenders are so serious that “continuation of such a game will yield no good results.”
With 2 points, Aronian is currently 5th at Tal Memorial. He will face off against Russia’s Alexander Morozevich in round 5.
