David Nalbandian retains 39th place in ATP ranking

The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) released a ranking list on June 11, with Argentina-based David Nalbandian retaining 39th place with 1015 points.

Serbia’s Novak Djokovic keeps lead with 12280 points; Rafael Nadal (Spain) comes 2nd with 10060 points, Swiss Roger Federer is placed 3rd with 9435 points.

The 30-year-old Argentine was defaulted from London-hosted Queen’s final for angrily kicking an advertising board at a line judge, which left the official suffering a gashed and bloodied leg.

Nalbandian, who had won the first set 7-6 (7/3) against Croatia’s Marin Cilic, had just lost his serve to fall 4-3 down in the second when he reacted with a frustrated kick at the board, which was just in front of line judge Andrew McDougall.
