Armenian President Robert Kocharian being in Peking on a state visit today met with President of the Republic Hu Jintao. Resulting from the talks the leaders of the two states signed a joint declaration. The document, specifically, says: "The parties consider that the current international situation goes through deep and complicated changes. Peace and security keep being the leitmotif of the century. The international community has to preserve the whole diversity of the world and promote exchange both between civilizations and different development models." It also notes the indispensable role of the UN in sustaining peace.
