October 1, on the invitation of the Armenian National Assembly Speaker Artur Baghdasarian, Russian delegation, headed by chairman of the Council of Federation of the Russian Federal Assembly Sergey Mironov, is arriving in Armenia on a 3-day formal call. During the visit S. Mironov is scheduled to meet with Armenian President Robert Kocharian, Prime Minister Andranik Margarian, Parliament Speaker Artur Baghdasarian and Defense Minister Serge Sargsian. The Russian delegation will also visit the monument to the Armenian Genocide victims and lay a wreath to the memorial. Besides, accompanied by Defense Minister Serge Sargsian, the delegation members are planning to visit the 123-rd Russian motor-rifle regiment located in Armenia. On October 2 A. Baghdasarian and S. Mironov will open an Armenian-Russian Center for Regional Cooperation.
