Ukraine bus crash leaves 14 Russian pilgrims dead

A bus carrying Russian pilgrims on early Saturday, July 7 crashed on the road between Chernigov and Kiev killing at least fourteen and injuring 22 people, the Emergencies Ministry said, according to RIA Novosti.

The bus was carrying 45 passengers from Central Russia’s Pskov Region to Ukraine’s Pochayiv Lavra monastery. According to preliminary data, the driver lost control of the vehicle; it run off the road and swung over.

All of the injured Russian pilgrims have been taken to a hospital in Chernigov; three of them are in critical condition.

Russia will send to planes to take the victims of the crash back home.
