The arrest was made near Kanaker, the district in Yerevan, where a Russian military base is located. According to preliminary data, the Chechens had been examining the locality for several days. During the arrest E. Rudayeva did not refuse her nationality, however she assured that she had lived in Armenia for a long time and her son died during the Karabakh war.
