Warner Bros announced today that the supernatural thriller The Conjuring will open wide on January 25, 2013, Deadline said.

Directed by James Wan, The Conjuring tells the true story of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who were called to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse.

The film stars Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, Ron Livingston, and Lili Taylor.
