Armenia’s internet speed makes 3 Mb/s per person

July 26 marks internet administrator’s day, deputy director of Internet Society NGO said.

“Armenia was granted internet access in 1988, with internet becoming available to physical subscribers in 2000. 2000 and 2008 became turning points in Armenia’s Internet spread due to the price drop,” Grigori Saghyan said.

He further said that Internet speed makes 3 Mb/s per person, with 100 Mb/s being the most common speed for Korea and Russia.

“Internet access is mainly unlimited in Armenia, with 60 Mb/s commonly used,” Mr. Saghyan said.
