ARMENIAN OPPOSITION TO PARTICIPATE IN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTION IN COMMON BLOC
Armenian opposition forces are going to unite in a common bloc at the parliamentary election in the country planned May 25. People Party of Armenia press secretary Ruzanna Khachatrian told "Arminfo" agency today. In her words, the bloc format will be determined at the coming sitting of opposition representatives March 14. The proportion of the forces in the party lists of the opposition block will be defined by negotiations between the political forces forming part of it. Apropos, the People party has already determined its position on "the number 1" - it is party leader Stepan Demirchian. The press secretary emphasized that the opposition was submitting an application for participating in the parliamentary election at the time, but if the political situation did not change on the eve and the electoral institutions were idle as in the course of the presidential election, the opposition might impose a boycott against the parliamentary election.
