Azeri officials’ flight of thought or what gets Baku high?

Yet another Azeri official has distinguished himself with a flight of thought today through delirious accusations against Armenia and NKR.

Azeri Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov accused Armenia of “training terrorist groups in liberated territories.”

“Azerbaijan has been announcing the world for more than 20 years that Armenia trains terrorist groups. Azerbaijan has repeatedly presented the facts on it to the international organizations. These terrorist groups are sent not only to Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey, but at the same time to Europe, Middle East and Asian countries. The diversionists are sent from here to Russia and Georgia in order to stir up national hatred,” he said.

However, the official didn’t stop here, accusing Armenia of using the liberated territories “for production and transit of drugs to Europe and Asia.”

If would be surprising for these “revelations” not to be followed by Azeri-favored military rhetoric. “If Armenia continues with its non-constructive position, we’ll get ready to liberate our lands in near future by the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief,” he said.

“The government has launched preparations, developing a return program, and assessing damages. We must prepare ourselves for it,” the official said,

One can only be surprised how after all of the delirious statements by Azeri officials led by the president, or rather sultan Ilhan Aliev, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs’ patience hasn’t yet run out. It’s as if Los Cabos-signed statement by U.S.., Russia and France leaders on non-acceptability of the use of force in Karabakh conflict or military rhetoric has never been signed.

However, the official Baku continues to openly disregard such statement, readying itself for a new war.

So, clearly, Armenia will have to once again bring Azerbaijan down a peg or two. As to Hasanov, having failed to resolve the refugee problem he’s risking to garner some more of them, as this time, nothing will stop Armenia from liberating all of the Azeri-occupied territories.
