EQUATORIAL GUINEA COURT SENTENCED 6 ARMENIAN PILOTS TO IMPRISONMENT OF 14-24 YEARS
Yesterday the trial of the accused of an attempt of a coup d'etat in Equatorial Guinea, among which were 6 Armenian pilots, finished. The chief pilot was condemned to 24 years of imprisonment and the rest - to 14 years. By court decision An-12 plane, owned by Dvin concern, is also conveyed to the state ownership. The lawyer of the Armenian pilots intends to appeal against the verdict in the Equatorial Guinea Supreme Court and in case of need - to international judicial bodies. The Armenian delegation, being in that African country, continues talks with the leadership on passing the pilots to Armenia.
