Levon Aronian 2nd in FIDE rankings with 2816 points

On August 1, FIDE published the list of strongest chess players of the world according to which Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian maintains second place with 2816 points.

Magnus Carlsen (Norway) tops the list; followed by Russia’s Vladimir Kramnik with 2797 points.

Another Armenian chess player Sergei Movsesian dropped to 46th place with 2698 points on FIDE official rating list, Gabriel Sargissian is 51st with 2693 points. Armenia’s chess champion of 2012 Tigran L. Petrosian comes 90th with 2661 points.
