GEORGIAN DEPUTY MINISTER OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SKEPTICAL ABOUT KARS-TBILISI RAILWAY AGREEMENT

"It is not ruled out that within next 20-30 years this agreement will not be realized, Georgian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Genrikh Muradian stated when commenting on the agreement on Kars-Akhalkalaki-Tbilisi construction signed by representatives of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey on December 24, 2004. According to the calculations the construction can cost $350 million. In Muradian's words, the agreement is to remain on paper, as there are no real investors so far.
