For over a month the 62-nd Russian military base in Akhalkalaki awaits rotation of officer personnel. After the change of the commander of the Group of Russian Troops in Transcaucasia 800 Armenian officers were sent to other military units of Russia. 500 Russian officers will arrive in Akhalkalaki to substitute them. However, they are in Gumri and are awaiting permission for entry to Akhalkalaki for already a month. If earlier such problems were decided by means of bribing Georgian customs officials, this method does not work for the Russian military now.
