Minister: Armenia ready to offer more humanitarian aid to Iran if necessary

It’s already for the fourth time in the past 15 years Armenia has extended humanitarian assistance to earthquake-wrecked Iran, RA Minister of Emergency Situations said.

Armen Yeritsyan stressed offering humanitarian aid as a priority for the country’s government and Prime Minister, noting Armenian rescuers’ readiness to lend a hand to their Iranian colleagues.

The total amount of humanitarian aid made up AMD 57 mln, with RA Ministry of Emergency Situations having purchased essential commodities – water, tinned food, etc.

“Armenia stands ready to extend another helping hand to Iran when necessary,” Minister Yeritsyan said.
