The Armenian National Committee of Canada announced an official rally, which shall take place in Ottawa on Friday, Sept 7, in front of the Embassy of Hungary and Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ottawa.

ANCC will be joined by other Armenian organizations, such as Armen Karo Student Association, Armenian Church Youth Organisation of Canada, Armenian Student Association of Canada, AGBU Young Professionals of Canada and ARF Youth Association of Canada, as well as local Armenian communities from all parts of Canada.

Demonstrations are organized to denounce questionable extradition by Hungarian government of Ramil Safarov, the convicted axe-murderer of Armenian lieutenant Gurgen Margaryan, and his subsequent pardoning by the Azerbaijani President.

They will also protest glorification and rewarding for a crime based on an ethnic hate against Armenians cultivated in Azerbaijan.
