50 COMPLAINTS OF BREACHES IN ELECTION SECOND ROUND RECEIVED BY CENTRAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION
In the course of the second round of the presidential elections of Armenia the central electoral commission has received 50 complaints of breaches. As reported by legal expert of the commission Nune Hovhannisian, 32 of them have already been addressed. The rest are being solved and responses from polling stations are expected. "38 out of the 50 complaints refer to pre-term cease of authority of members of district electoral commissions," - N.Hovhannisian reported. In her words, the whole data is checked and in some instances the cases were sent for consideration by the prosecutor's office. As noted by N.Hovhannisian, there were also statements on violations by proxies and international observers, which hampered the normal operation of election centers. Specifically, in her words, there were cases when international observers took electoral documents and tried to copy out something from there, which is exceeding their commission. Moreover, mass insertions of ballots in favor of both candidates were registered, N.Hovhannisian said. In the legal advisor's words, 60-70% of most complaints is false information.
