Suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) set a school building on fire in Turkey’s eastern province of Hakkari’s Şemdinli district, the state-run Anatolia news agency reported.
The school, located in a village three kilometers outside of Şemdinli, was set on fire at around 1 am.Villagers notified the authorities when the flames began to rise.
Security forces and firefighters managed to extinguish the fire by the time it heavily damaged the building.
