FM, OSCE MG co-chairs discuss repercussions of Safarov release

On September 26, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Robert Bradtke, Igor Popov, Jacques Faure and the Personal Representative of the Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.

At the New York-hosted meeting, the parties focused on the damage Azerbaijan inflicted on Karabakh settlement talks and the ways to repair the situation. The co-chairs further stressed their adherence to peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict.

During his visit to New York, the Foreign Minister also met with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip "Phil" Gordon to discuss the perspective of the development of bilateral ties.

Exacerbation of Karabakh settlement talks after Azeri killer’s release was also on discussion agenda, with the U.S. official stressing the importance of the international community’s condemnation of Azerbaijan.
