Details of President Sargsyan’s visit to France kept secret - paper

President Serzh Sargsyan will leave for Paris in early November on the invitation of his French counterpart Francois Hollande, Hraparak daily said.

“Before the start of the 2008 presidential race, the Armenian leader made a major tour to the U.S. to meet the country’s officials. The tour was followed by a trip to Brussels and France.

This time, the sources replied negatively to the question whether a similar tour was planned. Seems like they’ve learned their lesson: back in 2008, Sargsyan left Armenia to return to a country where Levon Ter-Petrossian was expecting him by way of a presidential alternative,” the daily said.

“Thus, the visit to France is the only one on President Sargsyan’s agenda. According to some reports, it’s a parity visit – recently, Paris hosted Azeri leader Ilham Aliyev.

Sources say, Sargsyan’s visit will have an interesting detail, which is being kept secret at present,” the paper said.
