Natalie Portman mulls joining “Code Name Sasha,” “Last Witness”

Natalie Portman’s certainly not wanting for potential projects at the moment. Just before last weekend, she was linked to Jackie, which will chronicle how Jackie Kennedy dealt with her husband’s assassination. But that’s just the tip of the scriptberg in terms of what studios and producers are offering her. She’s also now mulling two other movies, Code Name Sasha and Last Witness, Empire reported.

Code Name Sasha, which has Paramount’s backing, would see her as a single mother who has been a criminal since her teenage years. But, seeking to finally change her life, she’s offered a chance to wipe her record by the FBI, provided she goes undercover to bring down the world’s biggest gun-running organisation.

Fox is also after her services, seeking her to lead the film Last Witness. That story follows a psychologist working with the only survivor of a café bombing in Boston who has, since the incident, been suffering from amnesia. We’re betting there will be some twists in that particular tale.

But they’ll have to wait, as Portman is still committed to work on Terrence Malick’s next, untitled film (she’s shot a role in his Knight Of Cups already), has been reprising the part of Jane Foster for Thor: The Dark World and is starring in / producing the Western drama Jane Got A Gun, Empire said.
