Turkish businessmen pledge to develop ties with Armenia

Turkish entrepreneurs will take every measure to develop business relations with Armenian partners, the head of Van Young Businessmen Association said.

“We seek to have trade with Armenia on the same level as with the Eastern countries,” Kadri Salaz said during Yerevan-hosted Armenian-Turkish business forum.

He further voiced hope that Turkish authorities will finally resolve the existing problems for the well-being of the two nations.

The forum is organized by Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia (UMBA) in the framework of USAID-funded Support to Armenia-Turkey Rapprochement Project (SATR). Turkish-Armenian Business Development Council (TABDC) is represented as partner of organization of joint forums.

UMBA invited over 50 businessmen from Eastern Turkey, representing such sectors of economy as light industry, petroleum and construction industries, catering trade, healthcare, and jewelry sector, etc.

The participants will focus on the current stage of bilateral relations, summarizing the outcomes of the business cooperation.
