CHARLES AZNAVOUR URGED GERMANY TO RECOGNIZE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
Universally known singer and composer Charles Aznavour urged "Germany to follow the example of France and Switzerland and speak out on the crime against humanity", i.e. on the Armenian Genocide, Yerkir Armenian online newspaper reports. In the article published in Die Zeit weekly, Charles Aznavour noted that Germany, which was "pursuing the policy of non-intervention" at that time, is as well responsible for this crime. The recognition of the Genocide by Germany will become an important step and will induce other European states to an analogous decision, the singer considers.
