Azeri-sent Tajik spy fails his task in Armenia

Armenia’s National Security Service has foiled another Azeri provocative act.

On September 24, Uzbekistan citizen, a native Tajik Zamirzhon Otazhonov, 35, addressed Armenia’s law enforcement agencies, saying that he is ready to orchestrate a terrorist attack in Azeri capital for a remuneration of $20 thousand.

Otazhonov explained his decision by hatred towards Azeris who refused to pay his salary while he worked for a Baku-based construction company.

A probe initiated discovered that Otazhonov was recruited by Azeri spy services planning to make out Armenia to be a terrorist country in the eyes of international organizations and media.

It’s worth noting that Baku sent Otazhonov to Armenia following axe-killer Ramil Safarov extradition scandal, which put Azerbaijan in the center of a political crisis.

Azeri leadership attempted to use Orazhonov to mitigate the negative response of the international community to Safarov release. Despite Armenia’s repeated remarks as to the unacceptability of terrorism, Baku initiated the risky enterprise to cover up its own crimes.

Orazhonov has been deported from Armenia.
