No foreign investment prospects in Armenia – Oskanian

Ex-Foreign Minister, Prosperous Armenia party member Vartan Oskanian commented on a sharp drop in foreign investments in Armenia.

“In Q1, 2012, a 40% drop in direct investments was posted, with Q3 plunge totaling 60%,” Oskanian said in his Facebook post.

As Oskanian further noted, presidential elections in Armenia should be used to draw attention to urgent issues in the country.

According to him, Armenia’s belief in future and prospects are not fostered by the country’s authorities.

“General uncertainty, currency fluctuations, unsatisfactory legal field as well as Azeri threats of a new war in Nagorno Karabakh seriously hamper investments,” Oskanian said urging to consider facts rather than macroeconomic data.
