Tom Harper to helm Daniel Radcliffe-starring “Woman in Black” sequel

The Woman in Black's sequel has secured a director.

The follow-up to the Daniel Radcliffe-starring original will have Tom Harper at the helm, Digital Spy said citing The Hollywood Reporter.

Harper's previous directorial projects include episodes of TV shows Misfits and This Is England '86.

A synopsis of the sequel's plot was revealed earlier this year, reading: "Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh House has awoken its darkest inhabitant.

"Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients, but soon realises she must save them from more than their own demons. Despite Eve's efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black."

The Woman in Black became the UK's most successful horror film in 20 years when it was released in early 2012.
