Armenia advances in WB “2013 Doing Business” report

Armenia has improved its position by 18 points to be placed 32nd in World Bank’s 2013 Doing Business report, First Deputy Economy Minister said.

As Karine Minasyan noted at the special meeting of Information Technology Development Support Council, Armenia came 2nd in the region, falling behind Georgia only.

“Meanwhile, Azerbaijan and Turkey dropped by 1 and 10 positions respectively,” deputy minister said, adding that Armenia leads by growth rate among the CIS countries.

“Though the 32nd position in the list of 184 states is quite welcoming, we still have a lot to accomplish,” she said.
